2023 SHS placement begins with school choices verification
The verification of students’ school choices will be the first step in the school placement process in 2023, according to the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The reason for the new procedure was outlined by GES in a press release that was signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of the Public Relations Unit.

The communique stated that this verification process aims to assure accuracy in students’ choice information before they are put in the Second Cycle Schools of their choice.
14th January 2023 marks the beginning of the verification process, which will go until the 22nd January 2023.
GES further stated that an SMS message from the CSSPS containing web portal: https://csspsverify.com and USSD short code number 89988# with 4digit token number will be sent to students, parents/guardians.
According to GES, students who believe they made an error in their initial selection should call 0556541525 or use the edit button on the web portal after their selection details are provided with a copy of the original selection form
“Students can also send an email with the copy of the original selection form to cssps2021@gmail com,” the release added.
Students were advised by GES that the purpose of the verification activity is to confirm the initial selections made, not to change schools.
