ASP shot Constable to death

A senior officer is suspected of shooting dead Constable David Gbati after an argument, according to sources.

On Friday night, the two were allegedly traveling to Awaso in the Bibian-Anwhiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region when the event took place.

According to sources, ASP Frank Nsiah, who is said to be the chief of the Western North Regional Police Intelligence Unit (PIU), was reportedly under alcoholic influence.

He then started a fight with his subordinates inside the Ghana Police Service car, which led to the shooting of Constable Gbati.

While ASP Frank Nsiah is being held at the Sefwi Bekwai Police Station for further inquiry, the deceased officer’s body has been placed in the mortuary at Sefwi Wiawso Government Hospital.
