Landlord’s son butchered tenant’s child

A landlord’s son has been accused of butchering a toddler after an incident with his father who is a tenant.

The deceased’s father and sister, who are currently fighting for their life at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, were also harmed by the suspect, who has only been named as Emmanuel.

On Friday, May 5, 2023, the incident happened at Adankwame in the Ashanti Region’s Atwima Nwabiagya North District.

Witnesses claim that the now-deceased toddler who has been identified as Samuel Amo, raced to welcome his father, Obed Asamoah as soon as he arrived home from work.

As the father escorted the child to his room, the son of the landlord approached him brandishing a machete.

The suspect, Emmanuel, allegedly began cutting the father and toddler with a machete during the struggle.

The toddler’s sister, who had gone to the scene to check on her father and young brother who were both laying hopelessly on the ground, was then allegedly attacked by the perpetrator.

The toddler, Samuel Amo, was confirmed dead when the father and his two children arrived at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Janet Owusuwaa, the mother of the deceased, claimed that after the event, the suspect fled, but that he has since been apprehended and is currently in police custody.
