Come o gentle soul come
Come, be the light
Come, make a purpose
Come o Come , free and right
Said He, The Maker
Then the gentle splash
Oh yes a splash of the new born
The cry to announce a rebirth
And many the well wishes
Then marked a unique day
When you shall be celebrated, a natal day
The day is here again, a natal day
This day shall come to pass
All be it as fate decreed
This day be it a reminder
Of purpose and calling
Oh jolly comrades come let’s honour this day
Come with a better pleasing thought
Let’s create in the mind
A lasting pleasure on this day
May you not be seen of sickness
Shall it be you pass twice three score years _ even more
Let strength make way oh sweet bay
As you encounter the scorching eyes of heaven
Or rough winds that shake your tender leaves
Let beauty and wisdom be lasting
And let not your colour be dimmed
By the acids of the earth’s struggle and toil
Let this day crown
The tiny rivulets with ornamental pearls
And your hair dark black with curls
May it not be you’ve grown and greyed
With no deeds to attest your existence
Oh sweet slender arm
Of full kindness, goodness and cheerfulness
Let it be restored this day
All that has been thrown away or emptied
Let the tempest light of heaven
Shine bright on you
Let this day
Be a smile on the past
And a pulley to draw you away from sorrows
Albeit we panic to grow older
Let it tomorrow, you have life to the brim
And tell a prolific story, even to yet unborn
