MAY IT NOT BE SAID
May it not be said,
That we never returned.
Bless me oh God,
I owe mama so much.
Those prayers we prayed,
Everyday we breathed.
“We left home to feed home”.
The motivation of the todays.
Legal or Illegal but not bloody,
A friend once told me.
But we don’t care.
We just want it anyhow.
The society of disparities,
Rendered our situation severe.
Our courses are thorny,
The grievances of many.
“Your time will come,my child”.
Those are the words of mama.
The aura of success,
Has driven many to moon.
Pressured to have in excess.
Enjoying on collateral.
We saw them glorious from afar,
So we chose to join their league.
The source has cautioned,
No money for Home.
So we watch home starve,
Even though we had many to spare.
We never knew at first.
We already signed the agreement.
Oh, how pitiful!
That we made it,
But cannot feed home.
