INTERESTING DEBATE COMPETITION HELD BETWEEN THE MALES AND FEMALES OF MMCE: CHECK DETAILS HERE AND DOWNLOAD YOUR PICTURES
The Students’ Representative Council of Mount Mary College of Education launched it SRC WEEK CELEBRATION on the 15th of July, 2022. The launch gave way to other programs planned for the week. These include Campus Praise, Women Empowerment, Jogging and Yoga, Debate Competition, Glamour Night, Akwaaba and many others.
The Debate Competition was one of the programs part of the week’s outline. The program was held on Saturday, 23rd July, 2022 at the College’s auditorium.
The program was championed by the Writers’and Debaters Club who raised and groomed individuals for the competition. The Debate was solely for level 100s.
Thé debate was a competition between the level 100 males and the level 100 females. The contestants for the males were Abaya Jacob, Tetteh Noah Amoatey and Caesar Ayer. The females were also represented by Tutu Mary, Larbi Emilia and Akoto Abigail.
The Chairperson for the program was Mr. Osman Ibrahim who doubled as a Judge. Other judges include Mr. Anobi Asare; the Patron for WRIDEC, Mr. Agbessi Kokou Loumon; the SRC President and Miss Abigail Akugri; the SRC Vice President. The Time Keeper was Stephen also known as SKALA.
There was an interesting scene of debating skills as each party tried to prove their capabilities and enthusiasm to win the competition.
However, at the end of it all, the judges gave their critiques and commended the great work do e by the various Debaters. They declared all Debaters winners and urged them to go and prepare adequately for the Eastern – Greater Accra (EGA) Quiz and Debate Competition which comes off in September.
