NHIA publishes service tariff increments
There will be a rise in service tariffs, according to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
The Authority stated in a statement made public on February 1 that the rise in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) has necessitated an increase in both medical services and pharmaceutical products.

As a result, NHIA will impose a 50% increase for framework medications in addition to a 30% marginal increase.
While the price of non-framework medications climbed by 20%, service tariffs will generally rise by 10%.
The announcement also stated that new drugs such Artemether Injection 80mg/ml and Levofloxacin Infusion 500mg/ml would now be included on the list of drugs covered by the NHIA and reinstated by the National Health Insurance Scheme.
