OFORI-ATTA CAN SAVE US FROM CURRENT ECONOMIC CRISIS – Akuffo Addo
The current president of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo has brought to public notice, his confidence in his Finance Minister’s performance. Despite Ghanaians discontentment in the Finance minister, the president believes that his minister can help the country overcome the current economic crisis.
According to the president, despite the discontentment of Ghanaians against the Finance Minister and their constant demand of his head over alleged misappropriation of funds and mismanagement of the economy, he, the president believes that the Finance Minister; Ken Ofori-Atta is capable of changing the country’s misfortunes.
He stated that Ken Ofori-Atta has proved himself worthy by overseeing earlier successes of the Akufo-Addo administration.

“This same Finance Minister who people are calling for his blood is the very man who took us very successfully out of the IMF programme and helped us produce the 7 percent rates of growth that we have before the COVID.”
“I believe that he has the same determination to work us out of this crisis as he showed at the beginning of our government,” the president added.

Furthermore, he emphasized that there’s no need for reshuffling of his Minister’s at this time.
“When I am satisfied or someone is doing his work well or not doing his work well, I will act on it. If I am satisfied that the output is still strong, I will know what to do,” he said.
