Shackles of life glued around our necks,
We feel lonely and abandoned
Along the rough road of life
Yet we linger and strive to make ends meet
Amidst the shackles and entanglement
There is a ray of hope and expectations
So we will stay and keep pushing
With time, all shall end and we will heal
There shall be rains on our dry lands
There shall be hope for the hopeless
The shackles shall be taken off
Don’t keep believing you are slave bound forever
Shackles of life lead us into things untold.
Thing we never expected or foresaw
They bind us against our will
And leave us in boundless solitude like a caged bird
No matter how hard or tedious it is
We will keep on with our little steps
A little drop of water makes a mighty ocean
Little efforts create gigantic greatness
In all our feats, there may be shackles
But there shall surely be a breakthrough
