Teacher Trainees and Nursing Allowance Will be Cancelled – Captain Smart Alleges
Blessed Godsbrain Smart, a renowned broadcaster affectionately known as Captain Smart described the teacher trainees and nursing allowance implemented by government as one of the most useless policies ever in the 4th Republic.
According to Captain Smart, the allowance allocated to trainees are not equitable and it was just a bait made by government to win political stands.
On his Maakye show, he made it clear that government has already sidelined the payment of these allowances even before the bailout negotiations with International Monetary Fund(IMF).

He stated “You don’t need IMF to tell you to cancel trainees’ allowance because we saw it afar that there are certain useless political promises which will bring the government to a standstill and collapse it.”
“I’m not a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and never will I be a member of NDC but the fact remains that, teacher trainee allowance and nursing trainee allowances are part of the most useless allowance policies ever in the 4th republic.”
He further made a comparative statement saying “If someone in nursing training college receives allowance and someone studying in Legon (Uinvierty of Ghana) is not given an allowance, that makes no sense.”
