All Teachers In Ghana Embark on A Strike
The Teacher Unions in Ghana today in a joint press conference reacted to the matter of Cost – Of – Living – Allowance (COLA).
The Press Conference which happened, encompasses the four teacher unions, GNAT, NAGRAT, TEWU, and CCT-GH who agreed to lay down their tools until their needs are met.
The leadership based their statement on the responsibility imposed on the government by Article 36 of the 1992 Constitution as they expressed their displeasure over the inability of the government to meet with their grant of 20% Cost Of Living Allowance to Ghanaian workers generally and in particular teachers and educational workers in the Pre Tertiary Education Level.
