WE ARE SUFFERING – NABCO TO GOVERNMENT

Reaching our news desk today is the cry of NABCO trainees to the government.

A communiqué released from the office NABCO Trainees Association of Ghana indicates that trainees of NABCO are going through hardships due to unemployment.

According to Dennis Opoku Katakyie, the pioneer of the release, today’s release is the “umpteenth time they are reminding government that beneficiaries of NABCO are still owed eight (8) months of their stipends”.

He believes that it would be practically unfit to say that the government is adamant to the plights of NABCO Trainees.

He mentions that they (NABCO beneficiaries) are still unemployed and therefore do not have a media to securing their livelihoods.

The release by the president further reinstated that the economy is not treating anyone fairly even those who are actively employed can not stand it, how much more they that are not employed.

He stated again that the current payment made to cover December 2021 still have some validated beneficiaries theirs. Coupled with that, reposted GRA Trainees are not being attended to.

In furtherance, he stated that while the release is a clarion call on government to see to the needs of NABCO Trainees and settle the arrears, he also calls on stakeholders to consider trainees who registered for the YouStart initiative.

He concluded by saying that they will be forced to start their next massive Picketing at the Ministry of Finance if government fails to pay them as soon as possible.

The final statement of the release read, “We are suffering, pay our remaining eight (8) months arrears!”
