If I share not the message of the cross
And if I give an empty look to the salvation of the world
Then in all things I count but loss
For what good again can I do to the dying world?
If I can not share the goodness of the loss
And if I can not ignore the pleasures of the world
Then all things I count but loss
For what good can I gain from this corrupt world?
If I get an excuse for not serving the Lord
And if the things of the kingdom are not my Lord’s
Then what makes me a citizen of the kingdom
For what again will be the prove of my love for the kingdom?
