Good News For Teacher Trainees On Allowance: Where's Your Ezwich Card?

There is a good news soon coming to doors of trainees across the 46 Colleges of Education. The good news in mention is concerning the payment of Teacher Trainees’ allowance.

A couple of months ago, after several agitations and pleas to the government from Trainees and their leadership over the long overdue payment of allowance, a two month allowance was released which lessened the agitations of trainees.

As at the time, government was owing trainees especially level 400’s a 7 months allowance. However with the two months paid, the government still owes 5 months which trainees look forward to receiving to alleviate their many financial burdens. However, information gathered indicates that the government owes each Teacher Trainee, a total of 1200.00 Ghana Cedis. This is to all levels.

Meanwhile, yesterday, on September, 24th a word was heard from the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana, TTAG president concerning the allowance.

The president took to his WhatsApp status to inform trainees of the upcoming good news. His first status slide asked trainees where their Ezwich Cards were and the next slide that followed demanded of trainees to look for their Ezwich cards and keep the cards safe for they will soon need it?

“Where is your Ezwich Card?” The first slide read.

“Look for them and keep it safe. You will need it soon.” The next slide concluded.
