SUCCESS has been our daily cravings. We go crazy on daily basis because we want to succeed but I keep pondering. “What at all is this success?” Whenever this subject matter is raised , we begin to imagine luxuries and lavish lifestyles especially the “cash”. It is unfortunate that we we think being materialistic is success but the fact is that materialism is only a component of what success really is.
Our daily strides and yearns has long been about making the cash because that is the only way we can be recognized as successful but I chose to differ from your perception. Success is a long and an unending journey. At a stage where you claim you have realized your heights, only for you discover that there are greater and more fulfilling heights, there you become conscious of success. Today, you are yearning for the peak of the mountain and upon reaching there, you realize there is the sky. Do you fathom why today, when people get all they were craving for (dresses, money,cars etc) yesterday, they still want to get more or get other latest stuffs? That is what is called materialism.
Listen, I have seen rich men envying the pauper. I have witnessed the wealthy man admiring the home of the cashless man. I know you would be wondering why it is so. It is not the money, the wealth or getting rich. There are other supplements. The inner satisfaction is missing, peace took to its heels and happiness is just a hover in the house of the cash man. It doesn’t mean you should be poor but seek for compliments that sum up success holistically
Today, it saddens my heart when I see parents compelling their daughters to get married to rich men;men with cars because they think that is their only way to succeed too. On the contrary, have you figured out the rough your daughter would go through being under a man who has already built his wealth? A wealth you and your family knows not the start off point of! A wealth none of your sweats has dropped on! This is disgusting!
How funny it is seeing young ladies hopping from one relationship to the other solely because the former doesn’t pay well. It’s so painful imagining the stress the female genital organ goes through in the hands of many men because of cash which we think is our only source of succeeding. If money were to be the solution, why didn’t they stay with the former guy who equally pays? I say success is an unending journey. I wonder if it is an oversight for ladies to realize that the same “money success” they seek from guys is an adventure the same guys are daring to embark on. This adventure is what has made young ladies become sacrificial lambs after sumptuous nights of enjoyment in hotels, clubs, or even street carnivals.
Suffice it to say that, success and materialism have some common relation but they are never same. Being materialistic in today’s era is basically because one wishes to satisfy the ego in order to display his or her achievements for recognition but I would frankly say that success is housed with the souls satisfaction in both material and immaterial terms.Let your success be a gauge of happiness, inner satisfaction, peace and money. It is never easy making ends meet but it requires patience, carefulness and ultimately , wisdom because if it is about assets, then almost everyone can sit back and relax because we’ve all got some one way or the other.
