STEPS TO SELF-REGISTER YOUR SIM: NEW APP FOR REGISTRATION RELEASED

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has released the SIM Card Registration Self-Service Application (App) on playstore.

The introduction of the App was made known through the NCA press statement on the evening of Friday, 26th August, 2022. The name of the App is GH SIM SELF REG and it has been uploaded on Google Playstore for users to download and use.

However, for IOS users, the Appstore version has not yet been uploaded because it is not ready. The NCA statement states “it will be available on the Apple Store soon.”

The motive for creating the app is for subscribers who have completed Stage 1 of their SIM card registration to complete Stage 2. [See flyers attached below for steps on how to do it yourself].

The NCA statement indicated that the App aims at providing another means for telecom subscribers to complete their SIM Card Registration using the Ghana Card. However, subscribers who prefer to physically go to their Service Provider’s registration points to complete Stage 2 can still do so.

The advantages of the application crated include providing convenience for subscribers are at liberty to register in the comfort of their homes, offices or other convenient locations they find themselves without necessarily going to the offices or registration points of telecom companies.

“The NCA urges subscribers to reach out to its Operational Support Centre via toll free number 0800-110-622 or the Authority’s handles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn or the NCA’s website, www.nca.org.gh for any enquiries or for more information about the App,” the statement spelt out.
