THE WIND OF OLD

By | April 15, 2022

My heart beats a rhythm of old
It is a simple complex sound that has fold
A western wind blew on Africa long ago
It was seen as it flow
Beautiful was it in the old
But now it cannot hold

It has brought a wonderful reform
I wouldn’t say it was uniform
Formal education,the court system
Improved health,good transport system
Just to mention a few
These we developed so much as time flew

But do you not know, that it has tunnelled through our culture
Eating into it’s very future
Our people now call black a beautiful white
Let us not take it light,
Because our Ancestors in their natures,
Will call us abominable creatures

Men want to be women
Women want to be men
Some even want to be both
How I wished i could shut my mouth
The back hole is now a place men derive pleasure
Women now have fruits as cloud nine treasure

It should not be a wonder
Sodom and Gomorrah were also not in order
Until fire from above refined,
They were not defined
Back to our beloved nation,
We need a new version

Ha!,What an injured generation
Should I call it a moral inflation
Gone are the days of my silence
Let us talk of the violence
That has brought the confusion
We are no more in fusion

The breeze of the wind of old,
Have drawn a thin line of poison
Where can we get an antidote
