TTAG-EGA PRESIDENT RE-ASSURES TRAINEES OF ALLOWANCE PAYMENT

Another key personality in the student leadership of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana has also assured trainees of the allowance payment. This person is Mr. Owusu Prince Kwabena popularly known as OPK; the President of the Eastern-Greater Accra Sector of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG-EGA).

The aforementioned president made this known during his visit to Mount Mary College of Education to grace the school’s handover ceremony. He visited the said school today, 25th September, 2022.

On the occasion, OPK was given the forum to give a speech. There, he used the opportunity to highlight some achievements of the TTAG-EGA Sector and various initiatives they are putting in place as the leadership to ensure the welfare of constituents.

He mentioned some achievements like the establishment of TTAG-EGA AID, TTAG-EGA Website, Organization of the 11th Unicom Quiz and debate Competition, securing of land for the sector’s secretariat, the establishment of TTAG-EGA TIMES (TET) which will commence publications on tomorrow, Monday, 26th September, 2022.

He also mentioned that the Sector or Zonal sports Competition will soon commence that is on the 1st October, 2022. In this light, he urged students to put up their best and maximum effort to bring out the best performance that will make TTAG-EGA a national champion in the upcoming Sports competition in November.

Finally, in his speech, he assured students that there will soon be payments of allowance. Being specific, he clearly stated that it will be a disbursement of three months which sums up to 600 Ghana Cedis.

In light of that, he pleaded with students to use the money judiciously and on beneficial things like payment of fees, and other Educational issues.

He concluded by appreciating the Agbessi led administration for their support and hard work as well as the incoming executives, urging them to be diligent in their doings.
