UEW final-year students protest against university authorities

UEW final-year students protest against university authorities. Level 400 students of the University of Education, Winneba, engaged in a protest on Friday, September 23, 2022 against an allegation that the university authorities failed to update their GPA.

The students accused the university authorities that their failure to update their cumulative records for the past three years is intentional.

The final-year students said they have no idea about their academic performance due to the failure of the university to update their records.

After management failed to attend a meeting scheduled to discuss issues concerning their results, the students blocked the roads leading to the school in protest.

According to a Graphiconline report, the students went on rampage, damaged signposts, and blocked some campus roads after waiting for a while and seeing no indication that the meeting was taking place.

The police were called but they could not control the students so they called for reinforcement.

This ended in firing of teargas to scatter the students.
