Fuel tanker crashes on Accra-Tema Motorway
About 200 meters before the toll gate at the Accra end of the Accra-Tema motorway, an oil tanker crashed this morning, May 12, pouring petroleum onto the road.
Although the exact cause of the truck’s pod tipping over is unknown, the spilling has left that section of the length slick, endangering pedestrians and drivers and increasing traffic.

Some others were spotted putting their lives in danger by gathering gallons of the petroleum that had spilled.
The general public, particularly motorists, are being reminded to exercise caution when driving the stretch, and the security services are being urged to act urgently to avert a potential disaster.
