Police starts investigation into butchering of tenant’s child

The police in the Ashanti Region have started investigations into allegations that the son of a landlord butchered a toddler.

According to reports, the toddler’s father, who rents their home, and the suspect got into a fight before the suspect killed the toddler.

On Friday, May 5, 2023, the incident took place in the Ashanti Region’s Adankwame neighborhood in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District.

The deceased’s father and sister, who are fighting for their lives at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, were also injured by the suspect, who has only been identified as Emmanuel, with a machete.

The mother of the deceased toddler, Janet Owusuwaa, explained to the media that his son ran to welcome his father after he had returned from work and it was that time when the suspect attacked the father, the toddler, and a sister of the toddler who tried to rescue them.

They were both rushed to the hospital but the toddler was then declared dead upon arrival in the hospital.
